IoT Products & the Digital Experience

One of the greatest technological advancements has been the dawn of the Internet, not just for its ability to enable the sharing and discovery of data, but increasingly, for its ability to connect disparate devices together. This phenomenon, broadly called "the Internet of Things" or "IoT", has the ability to make tasks easier and businesses more efficient.

With a deeper and deeper penetration of IoT into our lives, the need for a robust digital experience becomes more critical - not just to control these IoT devices, but to harness the insights that are available from them.

Christian Nascimento
Vice President, Premise Services, Comcast Business

Christian Nascimento is responsible for developing, launching and managing next generation service offerings for Comcast Business, with a focus on products that combine customer premise equipment, cloud services, and a digital experience. He manages all aspects of the product life cycle, from business development to launch in addition to analysis and enhancement to ensure growth.

Christian was responsible for the development and launch of SmartOffice, Comcast’s commercial video monitoring product, taking the product from ideation, to a single market trial, to a national deployment across the entire Comcast footprint. He also led the efforts to launch Motion Insights, SmartOffice’s digital motion analytics feature, and has championed the use of the product in “Smart City” initiatives, particularly Detroit’s Project Green Light. He has also overseen the market expansion of WiFi Pro, Comcast Business’ enhanced, intelligent WiFi product for SMBs.

Before joining Comcast in 2006, Christian was Vice President of Finance for Cangen Biotechnologies, a biotech start-up. He currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Widener University School of Business, and as a member of the Business Analytics Advisory Board. Christian holds a Bachelor of Science from Widener University and an MBA from Villanova University. He resides in Audubon, PA with his wife and four children.
