Organizations often rush to implement artificial intelligence without laying the groundwork for sustainable value creation. A process-oriented approach provides the foundation needed for AI initiatives to succeed. This talk explores how adopting a process mindset—focusing on how work is done, how value flows, and how decisions are made—enables more success with AI.
Process orientation clarifies objectives, exposes inefficiencies, and ensures high-quality data pipelines, all of which are critical for training and deploying reliable AI models. It also enables cross-functional collaboration and accountability, reducing resistance to change and aligning AI projects with business goals. By treating AI as a capability that improves end-to-end process performance—not as a standalone solution—organizations are more likely to scale impact and avoid isolated, short-lived pilots.
Real-world examples from financial services and healthcare illustrate how process thinking enhances the strategic use of AI. Attendees will leave with practical insights for embedding AI within a process excellence framework.
